Meet the Director
My camp name is Buttercup, from my favorite wildflower often found along the meandering paths I would create growing up on a ranch in Western Montana. A Girl Scout from my earliest years in school who became a lifetime member not so long ago, I've held the positions of Service Unit Manager, Cookie Manager, Treasurer, Activities Director, Fall Encampment Director, Troop Leader & Co-Leader & last, but not least, mother & cheerleader to 3 Girl Scouts. These 3 daughters & I have attended Roseville Day Camp since 2013 & they supported me as I transitioned into the director position in 2018 & continue to attend camp as adults. I am passionate about creating a positive space for girls to gain confidence, leadership skills & get outdoors. Having grown up in the wilds I continue to hike, canoe, snowshoe, camp, hunt, fish, geocache & consider myself a world traveler. I love to write & you'll often find me behind the lens of a camera.
My favorite part of camp is watching a unit march by with smiles on their faces and belting out a camp song at the top of their lungs! This sweet music ushers in the summer for me & I can't wait for another season! ~Buttercup
